Ron Weaver has lived in Mohave County since 1985 when he
began his law enforcement service in Mohave County as one of the original 29
officers of the newly formed Bullhead City Police Department. Ron held every
rank within the police department including that of Chief of Police. At one
point he was also the acting City Manager as well as the Chief of Police.
Ron has more than 40 years as a law enforcement professional having served
with the U.S. Border Patrol, the U.S Customs Service, and as a Special Agent
of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. While with the D.E.A., Ron
served a tour as the Assistant Narcotics Attaché, U.S. Embassy, in Bogota,
Columbia, South America.
Ron was a member of the Mohave County Sheriff's Office assigned to the
Mohave Valley substation as a patrol sergeant until accepting his current
position as Superintendant of the Davis Camp County Park in Bullhead City.
Ron Weaver has a depth of experience, knowledge and training seldom equaled.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management, he is a veteran of the United
States Army, a member of the American Legion, a life member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars, and a member of the National Rifle Association.
Ron has a burning desire to see the citizens of Mohave County have the very
best sheriff's office possible. As an avid believer in the Constitution of
the United States, the State of Arizona and ALL that those living documents
represent, he has a solid belief in the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE. Ron believes
that the people have the right to expect and receive a government that is
both responsive AND responsible to the people.
